Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not after me...

I'm not sure if these plans for lidl have been passed or not, they probably have, planning departments seem to ignore all objections whether valid or not now days. It would be a great shame to lose this building, if a supermarket must go ahead which i don't think the area needs or can support, then it should be in the existing bus depot building.
A BUS company is set to move its depot to Haslingden following proposals to build a supermarket on its current site. Rossendale Transport plans to move its offices, bus garage and maintenance workshop from Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, to a unit at Knowsley Park Way. The move will mean the transfer of 180 staff from Rawtenstall town centre, with the new site becoming the base for the firm’s 70 vehicles. The transport company has applied to Rossendale Council to change the use of its new building, which was formerly used by air filter firm Camfil Farr. It comes as the Development Control committee prepares to make a decision on plans to demolish the bus depot and build a Lidl supermarket and car park on the site. www.rossendalefreepress.co.uk/news/s/1039722_end_of_the_road_for_bus_depot
